The Multicultural Communities Council together with City of Adelaide are hosting “Refugee Stories Q&A : Real Stories of Real People Who Make A Difference”.
This will be a Free Community Event on 29th June, with the purpose of raising awareness around Refugee Week through stories of Refugees. It is from 6pm – 7.30pm at Minor Works Building, 22 Stamford Court, ADELAIDE.
This event “Refugee Stories Q&A : Real Stories of Real People Who Make A Difference”. will have some wonderful speakers who are or are former Refugees, we will be providing some refreshments provided by local business who are owned by Refugees. And is a part of the international Refugee Week events.
The aim of the event is to encourage local residents and people who visit the city for work, or otherwise, to hear the stories of people of refugee background who now are making a difference in our city and surrounds.
By doing this we create understandings and it leads to communities who engage with one another and to foster a strong community life by celebrating diversity and acknowledging the contributions that Refugees, past and present, bring with them to South Australia.
