MCCSA Hosts Home and Community Care Service Providers

On February 4th MCCSA and the CALD Ageing Alliance was host to Home and Community Care (HACC) service providers from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. 19 key players in the CALD HACC sector were able to discuss their concerns in relation to HACC Counselling, Support, Information and Advocacy or non-output activities funded under the Commonwealth HACC Program with two Department of Social Services representatives by teleconference.

This meeting was very successful in helping to clarify issues and was a good example of CALD communities coming together under the CALD Ageing Alliance to work through some of the issues associated with the Federal Government’s aged care reforms.
